Experience our top best 5-day group mid-range Kilimanjaro climb via the Marangu Route in Tanzania, starting from Nairobi. Often called the "Coca-Cola" route, Marangu is the mountain’s oldest and most established path. It’s the only trail that features dormitory-style hut accommodations, Although known for its gradual incline and reputation as the easiest route, it is typically busier and less scenic, as both the ascent and descent follow the same path.

From that point, the journey continues to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, where stunning views await. Shortly thereafter, you will initiate your descent, pausing at Kibo for lunch and a brief rest before proceeding down to Horombo Camp. As this segment of the trek begins in total darkness, headlamps or flashlights are indispensable. Anticipate very cold temperatures until you begin your descent, so it is advisable to wear all your warm clothing layers. This portion is the most challenging of the entire climb, featuring numerous switchbacks. Maintaining a slow, steady pace—pole pole—and preserving mental strength are vital for reaching the summit.
