Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to Kilimanjaro White House Hotel in Moshi. After check-in, you will have time to relax and prepare for your upcoming adventure. Later, you will meet your mountain guide for a pre-trek briefing and equipment check to ensure that you have all the necessary trekking gear. Any missing equipment can be rented on this day. You will spend the night at Kilimanjaro White House Hotel on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

Machame Gate to Machame Camp
After breakfast, you will drive from Moshi to Machame Gate, which takes approximately 50 minutes. After completing the registration and park formalities, you will begin your trek through the beautiful montane rainforest. The trail follows a winding route up the ridge, with some sections that can be muddy and slippery. Gaiters and trekking poles are recommended. The hike covers approximately 11 km and takes about 5–7 hours, ascending from 1,830 m / 6,000 ft to 3,100 m / 10,200 ft. You will spend the night at Machame Camp.

After breakfast, you will leave Machame Camp and continue ascending through the rainforest toward the moorland zone. The trail crosses valleys and follows a steep rocky ridge before turning west toward a river gorge. As you gain altitude, the vegetation changes and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro begin to open up. The hike covers approximately 9 km and takes 4–6 hours, ascending from 3,100 m / 10,200 ft to 3,840 m / 12,600 ft. You will spend the night at Shira Cave Camp.

Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Today you will trek across the southwestern side of Kilimanjaro while enjoying spectacular panoramic views. The trail gradually ascends toward Lava Tower, reaching approximately 4,600 m / 15,100 ft, before descending into the Great Barranco Valley. This ascent followed by descent is an important part of your acclimatization process. The total distance is approximately 15 km and the hike takes 5–7 hours. You will spend the night at Barranco Camp at approximately 3,950 m / 12,960 ft.

After breakfast, you will begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall. The trail continues through the Karanga Valley before joining the Mweka Trail. From there, you will continue ascending toward Barafu Camp, which serves as the base for your summit attempt. The hike covers approximately 9 km and takes 6–8 hours, reaching an elevation of approximately 4,700 m / 15,350 ft. You will spend the night at Barafu Camp and prepare for the summit attempt.

Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
You will wake around midnight and begin your summit attempt in the darkness. The trail ascends through steep scree toward Stella Point on the crater rim, where you can enjoy a spectacular sunrise. From Stella Point, you will continue for approximately one hour toward Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m / 19,341 ft, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your achievement at the summit, you will begin the descent to Barafu Camp for lunch before continuing down to Mweka Camp. This is the most physically and mentally demanding day of the trek. You will spend the night at Mweka Camp.

After breakfast, you will depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for your first safari experience. The park is famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds and beautiful golden savannah landscapes. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, warthogs and a variety of bird species. After the game drive, you will continue to the Manyara area for dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge or a similar property.
