Moshi to Kilimanjaro Day Hike

Route: Marangu Gate (1,800m / 5,905 ft) ? Mandara Hut (2,743m / 9,000 ft)

Elevation Gain: 915 m / 3,000 ft

After breakfast, drive approximately 2.5 hours to Marangu Gate. Begin your day hike along Kilimanjaro’s rainforest trails. The hike passes through dense forest, mossy trees, and exotic birdlife. Reach Mandara Hut for lunch and optional short walk to Maundi Crater for panoramic views of Taveta and Mawenzi Peak. Capture photos and return down to Marangu Gate, where your vehicle awaits to drive back to Moshi.

Moshi to Maasai Village Visit – Drive to Arusha

Drive from Moshi to Maasai lands. Explore a traditional Maasai village, guided by locals who explain their culture, customs, and daily life. Taste traditional chai (tea) and enjoy a local lunch with authentic Tanzanian flavors. Learn about Maasai culinary traditions and crafts. In the afternoon, continue the scenic drive to Arusha and check in at your Hotel for overnight.

Arusha to Central Serengeti National Park

Depart early for Central Serengeti National Park, traveling along the scenic rim of Ngorongoro Crater. Stop for picnic lunch at Naabai Kopje and spot Serengeti’s pink-headed lizards. Continue on a leisurely afternoon game drive across the golden plains, observing zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and antelopes. Experience the vastness and biodiversity of the Serengeti National Park. And later in the evening you will relax at a tented camp.

Central to North Serengeti National Park – Mara River Crossing

Travel north to Kogatende, focusing on the Great Migration. Witness wildebeest and zebra preparing to cross the Mara River. Spot hippos and crocodiles in the river, and with luck, observe the thrilling migration crossing. Afternoon game drive continues to explore predators and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight at Tented Camp.

Full Day Game Drive Safari – North Serengeti National Park

Spend the day in exploring Kogatende and Bologonja areas, observing the Great Wildebeests Migration and resident wildlife. Picnic lunch under Acacia trees with panoramic views of the plains. Spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and migrating herds. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. This provides ample opportunity to capture photos of iconic wildlife scenes.

Full Day Game Drive Safari – North to Central Serengeti National Park

Spend the day in exploring Kogatende and Bologonja areas, observing the Great Wildebeests Migration and resident wildlife. Picnic lunch under Acacia trees with panoramic views of the plains. Spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, and migrating herds. Return to the Central Serengeti National Park at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Drive back through Serengeti National Park toward Ngorongoro Crater, taking a different route for more wildlife spotting. Observe thousands of animals in herds, grazing wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, and predators like lions and cheetahs. Arrive at your camp on the crater rim. Enjoy sunset views over this UNESCO World Heritage site.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater early morning. Spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and buffalo – along with zebras, hippos, flamingos, and numerous bird species. Picnic lunch by a scenic lake. Return to Arusha in the afternoon for overnight at your hotel. Reflect on the remarkable biodiversity and unique crater ecosystem.

Arusha then Fly to Zanzibar – Transfer to Hotel

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar (flight not included). Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to your Hotel, located along the pristine white sand beaches. Relax and enjoy the sunset over the Indian Ocean.

Stone Town & Prison Island Tour

Morning guided Stone Town tour exploring historical landmarks, including the Old Fort, Palace of the Sultans, Anglican Cathedral, and Zanzibar doors. Learn about Zanzibar’s rich history under Arab, European, and missionary influences. Afterward, visit Prison Island, home to giant tortoises and peacocks. Enjoy photo opportunities and explore the small island before transfering to Nungwi beaches at your hotel.

Full Day Beach Relaxation – Zanzibar
