After an early breakfast at your hotel in Moshi, you'll depart around 7:00 am for the Marangu Gate, with a scenic drive of about 2.5 hours. Upon arrival and registration at the gate, your Kilimanjaro day hike begins. You'll follow a narrow trail through the lush rainforest, heading toward Mandara Huts, where you'll encounter climbers descending from the summit. At Mandara, you’ll enjoy lunch and have the option to take a short walk to the Maundi Crater. On clear days, the views eastward over Taveta and northwest toward Mawenzi Peak are truly breathtaking. After taking photos at the crater, you’ll hike back down to the Marangu Gate, where our vehicle will be waiting to return you to Moshi.
