Surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes, the crater floor is teeming with life, including nearly 30,000 animals that roam the vast expanse, filling the landscape with incredible biodiversity. The crater’s watering holes provide a prime opportunity for wildlife sightings, making it one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world.

After a quick breakfast, you’ll explore on an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the floor of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater. Known as the world’s largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, the crater’s massive floor spans about 260 square kilometers, with a depth of over 2,000 feet. This awe-inspiring landscape is home to an incredible variety of wildlife, and the 5-hour game drive will offer you close-up views of Africa’s most majestic creatures, including African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Be sure to keep your camera ready to capture the action. Following a delightful picnic lunch at the picturesque Hippo Pool, you’ll begin your ascent back to the top of the crater. The scenic drive up will lead you to the final stretch of your journey: a 4-hour drive back to Arusha. By 6:00 PM, you’ll arrive at your preferred location in Arusha, marking the end.
