6 Days Luxury Ndutu Migration Safari from Zanzibar

Your migration safari begins early in Arusha with a 5.5-hour drive to Ndutu, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where landscapes shift from forests to grasslands. Upon arrival, embark on a half-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Ndutu, part of the Great Migration route, hosts wildebeests, zebras, and predators, especially from December to April during the calving season. Waterholes like Ndutu and Masek attract wildlife even in the dry season. The thrilling drive ends by 5 PM, followed by dinner and rest at your chosen accommodation.

After breakfast, you embark on a full-day game drive, tracking the Great Migration in either the Ngorongoro Conservation Area or Serengeti, depending on its location. From December to April, the plains transform into calving grounds, attracting predators hunting vulnerable young wildebeests. Witnessing this dramatic cycle of life is unforgettable. A picnic lunch is enjoyed in the wild, with water provided throughout the day. By evening, you return to your lodge, where a freshly prepared dinner awaits. Rest well and recharge for another exciting day ahead.

Your guide shares stories of the Great Migration as you follow the trails of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles in search of fresh grazing. The rumble of millions of hooves fills the plains, an awe-inspiring sound of life in motion. Midday, you pause for a picnic lunch, sipping cool water while taking in the breathtaking landscape. As the golden sun sets, you return to camp for a delicious dinner, the distant calls of wildlife lulling you into a peaceful sleep beneath the vast African sky.

Today, by 9 AM you will head out for a short game drive in the Serengeti after a good breakfast. After completing a half-day game drive along with a picnic lunch, we will branch out and head towards the Ngorongoro crater rim. The 75-km drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim will take about 2.5 hrs, with mild game action to see on the way. The crater is one of Africa’s impressive geological attractions and supreme mecca of wilderness. The day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good rest in your choice of accommodation. Get a good rest and refuel yourself, for the following day you will descend into the massive crater.

Your final safari day begins early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. A 5-hour game drive offers thrilling wildlife encounters, including elephants, rhinos, lions, and cheetahs, so keep your camera ready. After a picnic lunch by the Hippo Pool, you ascend the crater and begin the last stretch of your journey. A 4-hour drive brings you back to Arusha by 6 PM, where you are dropped off at your preferred location. The adventure ends with a hearty dinner, plenty of water, and unforgettable memories of the wild.
