Here, you'll meet climbers from other routes like Marangu and Rongai and continue together toward Uhuru Peak. The final stretch takes about an hour, and you may witness the sunrise at Stella Point, along the way, or at the summit itself (Uhuru Peak, 5,895m). After spending 10–15 minutes at the top for photos and enjoying the view, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp for brunch and rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp. The total distance is 5 km up and 12 km down, with hiking times of 7–8 hours for the ascent and 4–6 hours for the descent to Mweka Camp (3,100m).

Light clothing like shorts and T-shirts should be sufficient, but keep your rain gear and warm layers accessible. Once you arrive at the gate, our vehicle will be waiting to take you back to your budget hotel in Moshi, where you can enjoy a hot shower and a cold beer. The 10km descent takes about 3–4 hours through the lush rainforest.
