5 Days Private Mid-Safari in Tanzania from Zanzibar

The journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park offers a scenic drive through the heart of northern Tanzania, taking approximately 2 to 3 hours. As you leave the bustling town of Arusha behind, the landscape gradually transforms into open plains dotted with Maasai villages and acacia trees. Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, welcomes you with rich wildlife and a peaceful, less crowded safari experience. This route is a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s incredible natural beauty and diverse ecosystems.

After an early breakfast, we depart Lake Manyara and embark on a scenic drive toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views and possible wildlife sightings. Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the famous Seronera region, known for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and giraffes. As the sun sets, we check in at a tented camp or mid-range lodge, where you can relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and unwind.

We begin the day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, capturing the beauty of the sunrise and spotting predators like lions and cheetahs as they are most active. After breakfast, we embark on a final game drive while exiting the park, enjoying the last glimpses of Serengeti’s incredible wildlife. We then drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with stunning views along the way. Upon arrival, we settle into our mid-range lodge near the crater rim, where you can relax and enjoy dinner in preparation for an exciting crater exploration the next day.

On Day 4, we embark on a full-day safari in Ngorongoro Crater. After an early breakfast, we descend into the crater—a vast caldera home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, and wildebeests. The crater floor is also home to flamingos at Lake Magadi and numerous other bird species. We enjoy a picnic lunch amidst stunning scenery and continue our exploration, capturing unforgettable moments of nature. After a full day of safari, we ascend back to our accommodation for dinner and a restful night.

On Day 5, your adventure begins with an early morning departure to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. After arriving around 7:00 AM, you’ll embark on a 2-hour game drive to explore the park’s lush forests, open grasslands, and picturesque soda lake, where you’ll spot flamingos, elephants, and a variety of bird species. Around 9:00 AM, you’ll stop for a relaxing breakfast before continuing your exploration until approximately 10:00 AM. By mid-morning, you’ll start your journey back to Arusha, with a scenic drive lasting about 2 hours. Expect to arrive in Arusha by noon, where the safari will conclude.
